Is there a need for a Miracle Field in central Minnesota?
Yes. To determine whether there was a need for a Miracle Field in central Minnesota we researched Department
of Education data regarding disabilities for several central Minnesota counties to determine the number of children who would
be eligible to participate in the Miracle League. From such data, we have determined that there would be over 7,000
children in central Minnesota that would meet the criteria to participate. Therefore, clearly, the need exists.
Also Miracle Fields have been built in other regional communities with similar demographics and populations as central Minnesota,
such as Mankato, Rochester, and Sioux Falls (SD).
How is a Miracle League Game Played?
- Every player bats once each inning
- All base runners are safe
- Every player scores a run before the inning is over
- Volunteers serve as buddies to assist the players
- Each team and player wins every game
How Can I Help?
There are many ways to assist the Miracle League. Of course, we are currently raising money for our construction
project, so any donations are greatly appreciated. There are other ways to help the Miracle League as well. Please contact us and we can
discuss how you can help. One way that everyone can help is by bringing awareness to the Miracle League, so tell everyone
that you know about us and our project.
